The Bengaluru City Police Traffic Warden Organisation actively supports traffic management and road safety initiatives across the city by working closely with the Bengaluru Traffic Police and engaging with the public.
We promote awareness among road users about their responsibilities in following traffic rules and maintaining road discipline. Through structured road safety programmes, traffic education campaigns, and defensive driving training sessions, we reach a wide audience that includes motorists, pedestrians, students, corporates, transport personnel, and the general public.
Traffic Wardens assist the Bengaluru Traffic Police in directing and regulating vehicular and pedestrian movement whenever required, and also participate in routine traffic management duties in accordance with TWO regulations. In addition, the organisation serves as a vital bridge between the police and the community, encouraging cooperation and mutual understanding.
We actively participate in traffic management and regulation during high-profile and large-scale events, including visits by VVIPs such as the President of India, the Prime Minister of India, and other dignitaries. Wardens are also deployed during major public occasions such as New Year’s Eve, city marathons, festivals, and other bandobast duties, in addition to their day-to-day traffic regulation responsibilities.
We continuously observe traffic conditions and provide constructive suggestions for improving traffic flow and road safety, which are forwarded to the concerned authorities. Wardens also report traffic violations personally witnessed on the roads, as well as issues such as refusal by taxi or auto-rickshaw drivers, overcharging, and other commuter-related concerns, to the Bengaluru Traffic Police.
The organisation actively supports special drives, enforcement activities, and awareness campaigns conducted by the Traffic Police. To further strengthen public awareness, we develop and distribute educational and promotional materials such as handouts, posters, and booklets that highlight safe road practices and responsible road behaviour.
Step forward to serve your city. Be the change on the streets of Bengaluru.
