A Proud 40-Year Legacy:
Established in 1985, BCP-TWO is a uniformed voluntary force that has been serving Bengaluru’s roads for over four decades — making it one of the longest-standing citizen-led traffic support organizations in India.
Uniformed Civil Force:
Wardens wear a distinctive uniform authorized by the Commissioner of Police, symbolizing discipline, integrity, and civic duty.
Unique in the Nation:
BCP-TWO is perhaps the only voluntary traffic warden organization in the country that has continuously operated under the city police for such an extended period.
Supporting Bangalore City Traffic Police:
Functioning under the Bangalore City Police, our wardens work shoulder-to-shoulder with traffic officers to regulate traffic, assist during major events, and ensure citizen safety.
Diverse Professionals, Common Purpose:
From IT professionals and engineers to doctors, advocates, and entrepreneurs — our wardens come from all walks of life, united by a single mission: public service.
Beyond Regulation – Education:
We conduct road safety awareness campaigns, school outreach programs, and citizen workshops to build responsible driving culture across Bengaluru.
Service Above Self:
Every Traffic Warden serves voluntarily, balancing professional careers with a deep sense of social responsibility — proving that civic change begins with individual commitment.
Our Ethos – The Spirit Behind the Uniform
Our uniform is more than attire — it reflects our identity, discipline, and shared purpose. It reminds us that every action we take represents something bigger than ourselves. With pride, integrity, and unity, we wear it as a daily commitment to excellence and service.
BCP-TWO consists of motivated volunteers from diverse professions including doctors, engineers, advocates, teachers, and IT professionals who serve the public and the organisation selflessly without seeking monetary compensation.
The organisation assists the Bengaluru City Traffic Police in managing traffic, ensuring road safety, and promoting discipline on the roads. Traffic wardens play a key role in regulating traffic flow, educating the public, and supporting traffic management during festivals and special events.
The traffic wardens engage with the community, spreading awareness about traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and the importance of road discipline to create a safer environment for all road users.
Wardens uphold high ethical standards, demonstrating integrity, impartiality, and responsibility while performing their duties on busy city roads.
The organisation works closely with the city police, sharing the strenuous traffic management load and providing a human bridge between the police force and citizens.
Wearing the uniform and serving as a traffic warden is considered a mark of pride and honor, symbolizing commitment to social good and citizen service.
The organisation embraces inclusivity by involving people from multiple professional backgrounds and ensures proper training and discipline as per the police guidelines.
