Awareness Training

Educating Citizens. Encouraging Discipline. Ensuring Safer Roads

Public awareness is at the heart of the Bengaluru City Police Traffic Warden Organisation’s mission. Through our Public Awareness Programs, we aim to educate citizens on traffic rules, responsible driving, pedestrian safety, and the importance of road discipline. Our volunteers conduct awareness drives at schools, colleges, corporates, residential communities, and public junctions to instill traffic sense and civic responsibility among all age groups. From distributing educational materials to engaging in interactive demonstrations and campaigns, we work tirelessly to make Bengaluru’s roads safer for everyone.

Together, we believe — an aware citizen is the first step towards a disciplined city

Creating awareness and promoting responsible road behavior is one of the key focus areas of the Bengaluru City Police Traffic Warden Organisation. Through structured programmes and community engagement, we strive to instill a strong sense of traffic discipline and road safety among all sections of society. One of our flagship initiatives is “Catch Them Young (CTY)”, a dedicated traffic awareness programme for school children. This initiative aims to educate young minds about traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and responsible road behavior at an early age, helping shape safer future road users. We also conduct traffic awareness sessions for college students, encouraging them to adopt safe driving practices, understand traffic regulations, and become responsible citizens on the road. These programmes focus on building awareness about road safety, defensive driving, and the importance of discipline while using public roads. Special awareness programmes are organized for corporates to sensitize employees about safe commuting, adherence to traffic laws, and responsible driving habits, especially in high-traffic urban environments. In addition, targeted training and awareness sessions are conducted for professional drivers, including bus drivers, auto-rickshaw drivers, school bus drivers, and other transport personnel. These programmes emphasize safety, passenger responsibility, rule compliance, and courteous behavior on the road. Through these continuous efforts, the Organisation works towards building a culture of awareness, responsibility, and safety among all road users, contributing to safer and more disciplined roads across Bengaluru.
