The Bengaluru City Police Traffic Warden Organisation (BCP–TWO) is a unique voluntary initiative that works in close collaboration with the Bengaluru Traffic Police to support traffic management, promote road safety, and build awareness among citizens. Established in 1985, the organisation has grown into a dedicated network of committed volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds who serve society selflessly without seeking monetary compensation. Over the years, BCP–TWO has played a vital role in assisting traffic regulation, supporting public safety initiatives, and acting as a bridge between the police and the community, contributing significantly to safer and more disciplined roads across Bengaluru.
The organisation actively welcomes responsible citizens who are willing to contribute their time and effort towards public service by joining as Traffic Wardens. Any resident of Bengaluru between the ages of 25 and 55 years (with a retirement age of 65) who has completed 2nd PUC, Diploma, or an equivalent qualification is eligible to apply. As this is a voluntary service, applicants must have an independent source of income as an employee or employer, ensuring that participation is driven by a genuine sense of civic responsibility and commitment to community welfare. Through such dedicated citizen participation, BCP–TWO continues to strengthen its mission of supporting traffic management and promoting road safety in the city.
We believe a safer, more responsible city starts with collective action. For over 40 years, the Bangalore City Traffic Warden Organization has worked hand-in-hand with citizens and law enforcement to bring awareness, order, and safety to our roads.
