Joining BCPTWO is a chance to contribute to the city’s road safety and community well-being by volunteering time and effort to assist in effective traffic management and awareness.
The Bengaluru City Police Traffic Warden Organisation (BCPTWO) is a voluntary service organization established in 1985 to support the Bengaluru City Traffic Police in managing traffic and promoting road safety across the city. With the rapid increase in vehicle population and traffic congestion, BCPTWO plays a crucial role in reducing the burden on the traffic police by assisting in traffic regulation, enforcement, and awareness campaigns. The organization consists of dedicated volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds such as doctors, engineers, teachers, government employees, businesspeople, and IT professionals, all united by the common goal of serving the public and enhancing traffic safety. These traffic wardens assist in directing traffic, reporting violations, educating citizens about road rules, and supporting traffic management during special events like festivals, sports matches, and public gatherings. Under the leadership and patronage of the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, the BCPTWO works hand-in-hand with the traffic police to create a safer, more orderly road environment. Volunteers commit to regular duties in their neighborhoods and participate actively in community-oriented traffic education programs.
We believe a safer, more responsible city starts with collective action. For over 40 years, the Bangalore City Traffic Warden Organization has worked hand-in-hand with citizens and law enforcement to bring awareness, order, and safety to our roads.
